about

My name is Nesley Bravo (she/her)

My identities as the eldest daughter of Filipino immigrants, as a first generation college student in the US, trained social worker (MSW), and lifelong learner have shaped my commitment to organizational transformation and equity. My professional work supporting the experience of underrepresented students and employees in nonprofits, higher education, and tech have contributed to a deep understanding of how organizations, teams, and individuals operate. To learn more about my experiences, please see my resume.

My commitment is grounded in the following approaches and principles:

  1. Systems understanding; Utilizing a critical lens to understand what systemic barriers exist and its impact to inform a holistic approach and response,
  2. Relational & data-informed approach; Metrics are important. People are more important. Relationships are at the core of my work and serve as the bottom line,
  3. Strength based perspective; Shapes the narratives I teach and empowers folks to know they are capable; leaning into their lived-experiences and skill building.
  4. Intergroup dialogue (IGD); A dialogical approach that incorporates self-reflection, experiential activities, and learning across difference to move to action.
